This module provides MSc Economics students with the opportunity to conduct independent research on a substantive economic question. Under the guidance of an academic supervisor, students will develop a research question, design an appropriate methodology, collect and analyse data, and present their findings in a structured and rigorous dissertation. The module enables students to demonstrate their ability to apply economic theories and empirical methods to address complex real-world problems. Through this process, students will enhance their critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills, preparing them for careers in research, policy analysis, consulting, and the broader economics profession.
