Microeconomics 2

Code: ECON222

Credits: 15

Semester: Semester 2

This module introduces students to intermediate microeconomic theory used to analyse how firms and consumers make decisions. Students study firm behaviour in oligopoly markets and strategic interaction through game theory. The module examines externality, public goods and asymmetric information as key sources of market failure and considers how these issues relate to sustainability. Students who complete the module gain a solid understanding of economic mechanisms that influence market outcomes and policy choices.
