The overarching aim is that students will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to perform well in their chemistry degree programmes. By the end of the module students will have improved their ability to perform and apply mathematical techniques to problems in kinetics, thermodynamics and quantum mechanics. They will also have further developed their range of transferable, entrepreneurship and employability skills, including written and oral communication and team working. The course is supported by weekly maths workshops and other supplementary industry linked workshops, and will be assessed through four online maths quizzes, and a group social media and commercial awareness/entrepreneurship activity.
