This module will provide students with a thorough grounding in contemporary logistics operations. The module will cover the underlying concepts of global logistics (both inland and maritime logistics), including the quantitative/analytical tools and techniques that optimise sustainable logistics performance.
Specific topics include international logistics, shipping and container operations, transport management, warehousing and distribution management, port and terminal operations, and logistics sustainability.
The module will be delivered using lectures, group discussions, case studies and computer lab sessions.
