Complementing the content of the Advanced Stellar Physics Module (PHYS454), Frontiers of Time Domain Astrophysics explores the transient Universe, from pulsating stars such as RR Lyrae and Cepheids, to explosive transients such as Novae, Supernovae, Gamma Ray Bursts, Tidal Disruption events and the merger of compact objects and Gravitational Waves. This module is delivered by an ensemble of staff, all delivering content in which they are expert researchers.
