‘Environmental Design Principles’ introduces the primary design strategies of climate-responsive architecture and fundamental solutions for low-carbon buildings. Students will understand passive design strategies in relation to local climatic conditions, thermal environments, and the integration of daylighting and shading. Further focus is placed on the application of passive solar systems and natural ventilation to optimize building performance.
