Advanced & AI-assisted Design 1 introduces students to the cutting edge of contemporary design practice. The projects set within the module are deliberately wide-ranging, spanning scales from urban masterplans to landscape or small-scale interventions, and engaging directly with current issues and debates in the profession. This approach ensures the work reflects both the diversity of the student cohort and the evolving demands of the discipline. Students will explore advanced methods and emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, parametric modelling, and immersive environments), applying them critically and creatively to develop innovative design responses. By the end of the module, participants will have produced a portfolio that demonstrates technical proficiency, intellectual curiosity, and a readiness to contribute to the future of architectural design.
