About

Personal Statement

As Director for CIE the main focus of my work is supporting implementation of the education and student experience pillar of the University strategy, enhancing our curricula and ensuring all students achieve good degree outcomes. CIE support programme teams across the University to embed the Liverpool Curriculum Framework in their provision and design high quality blended and online programmes. Prior to becoming Director I worked as a Senior Educational Developer within CIE supporting the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and maintaining responsibility for CIE events such as the annual University of Liverpool Learning and Teaching Conference. I worked as a Lecturer in Medical and Healthcare Education at Undergraduate, Taught Post Graduate and Continuing Professional Development level for 14 years in a variety of Higher Education Institutions developing and implementing new course provision (both modular and non modular) and supporting individual educational development through formal teaching and informal mentoring. I have a lot of experience of student involvement in curriculum design and working with students as partners on educational change and research projects and have specific expertise in assessment strategies.
