INSPIRE Student mentoring network

In addition to developing a mentoring network at the summer school (particularly for those unable to attend) we will develop a mentoring network between academics, early career researchers and University of Liverpool veterinary students through a mentoring network event.

We find that often veterinary students book their Extramural Studies (EMS) early and do not realise they can use up to 6 weeks of EMS for a research project.

By having an initial event we will increase the number of students available to partake in research. The event will consist of several short 2-3 minute ‘speed research talks’ by potential mentors to describe their area of interest. Afterwards there will a chance for student to network with the mentors.

For more details, either if you wish to be linked with a mentor or become a mentor, contact Professor Mandy Peffers.
