Top three tips for University:

  1. Make good use of the resources provided by the School
  2. Always ask questions, and discuss ideas with your teacher or classmates
  3. Get involved in activities or get out and enjoy Liverpool or the surrounding city and meet people from all over.

Why did you choose to study at the University of Liverpool Management School?

The University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) is triple accredited and pays a lot of attention to student feedback. I think every teacher is conscientious, responsible, and patient in solving questions and concerns.

ULMS made me feel that I have a lot of opportunities to do what I want to do here.

Why did you choose your course?

The Economics profession is a great way to discover the world. You can follow different pathways with Economics, through optional modules. This allows you to deepen your study each year.

What skills have you developed?

During my studies, I learned how to use Stata to make a sound mathematical analysis of data. I was able to analyse the results of economic changes in different places by myself. This provided me with a way of thinking and data support for the overall macro analysis.

I learned to ask questions as I went along, which enabled me to grasp the knowledge in greater depth.

What surprised you the most about the University of Liverpool Management School?

I was pleasantly surprised that ULMS organises lots of different events, from online networking to trips out to Liverpool.

This has given me the opportunity to meet and interact with a wide range of people and to broaden my horizons.

How have you found the learning experience at the Management School?

I feel very comfortable studying at ULMS. The academic language skills course offered to students in their second year of study has helped me to improve my language expression a lot.

ULMS also offers plenty of resources to enable me to learn what I want to learn

What have you enjoyed about living in Liverpool?

Liverpool is a city near the sea. I love walking down to the beach in the afternoon to watch the sunset. It calms my mind. Liverpool is a Beatles lover's paradise, so at weekends I sometimes go to the bar for a drink and sing along with the guys.

In addition to that, I usually go to the nearby cities when I have time to experience the charm of different places

What have you enjoyed most about your student experience?

On a Wednesday afternoon, I enjoy walking to the city centre after classes to go shopping with friends or find a nice restaurant (the school is really close to the city centre).

Because it's a relaxing day in general, there's plenty of time to do what I want to do after class. If I want to study I'll just find an empty seat in one of the buildings or the library and do some reading.

It's a really pleasant environment to study in. Spending an afternoon reading is a great experience!

What are your future career goals?

I’m not sure of my exact career goals for the future. I would like to finish my undergraduate studies and then go on to further studies at postgraduate level.

I want to see what aspect of my career I would prefer in my final year of undergraduate studies. I really like working in a place with a strong team atmosphere.
