Learning & Teaching and Student Experience Awards and Sir Alistair Pilkington Awards

Since the mid-1990s, the University has been recognising the importance of excellence in learning and teaching in providing a high quality experience for its students through the annual Learning & Teaching and Student Experience Awards scheme. Find out about how to make a nomination and read about past award winners.

The award scheme

The award scheme is open to all staff (academic and professional services) at Faulty level, from early career staff to experienced staff. Nominations should relate to the activity of an individual or group of staff.

Nominations should be made to recognise, value and reward staff for a demonstrable positive impact on learning and teaching / student experience activities.

Each successful LTSE awardee is invited to submit an application for the Faculty Sir Alistair Pilkington Award.

Annual deadlines for nominations are set by each Faculty.

Full guidance and nomination forms for the Learning & Teaching and Student Experience Awards are available in the LTSE and AP Award Guidance and Procedures 2023-24 (Word, 82KB).
