Assessment Literacy

This Element of the Assessment and Feedback Toolkit provides tools to help you improve students’ and staff understanding of assessments and improve how the parameters or requirements of assessments are communicated to students. In here you will find tools to help you improve the clarity, transparency and student/staff understanding of assessments and what they require.

Pre-Assessment Activities/Ideas

These tools will help your students to better understand their assessments prior to them taking place. They include generic marking descriptors for adaptation, as well as ideas for pre-assessment exercises to help improve assessment literacy.
