Research Overview

I am interested about the link between practice and academia, both in terms of professional practice, procurement, and construction detail. The lectures and books I have written for the RIBA have required me to research these subjects in detail as well as benefiting from feedback from delegates on best practice. Professor Stephen Brookhouse and I are now considered to be nationally recognised experts on matters relating to professional fees for architects. My work with practitioners in their early years as well as links with the University’s own design build construction company have allowed me to develop my knowledge of procurement and contractor led design teams
