Job Description

My role predominantly involves providing support to the Equality and Engagement team. My principle responsibilities are:

  • Organisation and administration of committees which support the team in achieving the objectives set within the Equality Action Plan and associated action plans
  • First point of contact for staff reasonable adjustment queries and providing advice to staff and managers on the implementation of reasonable adjustments in the workplace
  • Managing a network of bullying and harassment advisors and ensuring accurate record keeping for annual reporting purposes
  • Providing support for the University’s Athena SWAN activity and applications (both at University and departmental level)
  • Organisation and co-ordination of events to mark significant dates across the Diversity calendar
  • Line management responsibility for the team’s apprentice
  • Advising on and designing engaging digital and printed materials for a wide range of Academy projects.
