The University of Liverpool has over 4,500 student rooms, in our popular Greenbank student village and city campus residences.

Dover Court is the preferred university owned accommodation for postgraduate and returning students, all of our students accommodation is supported by Residential Advisors and Hall Wardens who are available on the 24 hour reception to provide student welfare within the accommodation block. Below sets out the fees for Dover Court and an example of private accommodation in Liverpool that is based a short distance away from the campus.

Applying for your Accommodation

Once you have researched and selected which accommodation you would like to apply for. Visit the Liverpool Life student portal to apply, this is your one stop shop for all accommodation requirements, you will need your Liverpool University Student ID number in order to register. Once you receive your accommodation offer, you will need to confirm this in Liverpool Life.

Direct Entry Accommodation FAQs

When can I apply for my accommodation?

You can apply for your student accommodation at the University anytime after you receive your offer from us. You can apply on the Accommodation website.

How many choices do I have?

You are allowed a maximum of three choices for your accommodation at the University.

When is the deadline to make my accommodation choices?

The deadline to submit your accommodation choices are TBC for the 2022/23 Academic Year. It is recommended that you make submit your choices as soon as possible.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We no longer request a deposit from students to secure their room.  When you have accepted your offer of accommodation, your room is secure.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, you have the option to pay in full or choose an instalment plan. The instalment payments are taken in October, January and April (an additional instalment in July is available for Postgradute students). If I do not come to Liverpool can I get deposit back?

Yes, if you do not come to Liverpool, please contact the Accommodation Team immediately to let them know and they can inform you of what you need to do to refund your deposit.
