Biography
Jiayao is a current PhD student at the Liverpool Law School, University of Liverpool, commencing her PhD programme in March 2023. She completed her MA in Public Administration at the University of Nottingham (2021-2022).
Research
Jiayao’s research interests include community performance, active ageing, older people, and China studies. Following completion of her master’s dissertation, 'A comparative study about elderly care services in Beijing and Shanghai', she developed an interest in older people and their community life. Jiayao decided to further explore the influences of community participation on active ageing in urban China, through her PhD.
