Eva Dewsbury

First year Mechanical Engineering student

Eva is in the first year of a Mechanical Engineering degree and is part of the first cohort of our Undergraduate Scholarship. She said: “This scholarship means so much to me. It gives me the ability to buy equipment and textbooks and to even consider the study abroad option. With my Mum being diagnosed with cancer last year, university didn't seem an option due to finances, this has given me the gift of education!

She said of her decision to come to the University of Liverpool: “It has such a fantastic reputation, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the moment I walked through the door. With Liverpool being my local University, its brilliant knowing I'm in my own city.

“I hope to get a first class degree, I try my absolute best at everything and try to succeed. I hope to either carry on in education to PhD or to work with Jaguar Land Rover as one of their mechanical or aerospace engineers. “
