First year International Politics and Policy student

Carina, who is originally from Bangor, North Wales, is halfway through her first year of an International Politics and Policy degree. She chose to come to Liverpool in part because of the financial support available to her. She said: “As someone who has encountered many challenges in my life this Scholarship means a lot to me, making me feel like someone recognises my potential and believes in me.

“I am hoping to graduate with a first class degree as the end of my time at university, however my main priority is to make the most of the opportunities I am offered whilst I am her so I am hoping to get a place of the parliamentary placement scheme in my third year to gain some invaluable experience in the rest of the world.“
