Luangwa Heritage Conservation Centre

With support we aim to create a Heritage Conservation Centre for the people of the Luangwa Valley which will enable the conservation, investigation and interpretation of their rich cultural and natural heritage - before it is too late.

Our goal is to establish a purpose-built Heritage Conservation Centre that will provide the people of the Luangwa Valley with a platform, enabling them to share the stage with the wildlife of the National Park.

The Centre will give researchers a vital base for exploring and explaining the cultural and natural history of the people and the valley - providing international scholars with the opportunity to train Zambian people and collaborate with them in the exploration, conservation and interpretation of their own heritage.

As a cultural centre, permanent exhibitions, events and productions will allow International and local visitors to share the educational, enriching and motivating experience of the Luangwa Valley. Local craft-making will be encouraged amongst a new generation and products made available for sale.
