We are pleased to announce the launch of the “Genomes to Life” (G2L) research theme at the University with an event on 24th July to highlight the research and expertise in multi-omics at Liverpool, to increase connections across the University and to pump prime new research projects. The G2L launch event is open to all staff and PhD students in the University.

The day is split in two parts: Introductory short presentations with Q&A in the morning and a competition for pump priming funds in the afternoon.

Take part and pitch for a share of a £20,000 research budget to be used within research centres and facilities including the Centre for Genomic Research, synthetic biology via GeneMill, the Centre for Proteome Research, NMR metabolomics and the Computational Biology Facility .

If you would like more information about the Research Pitch or to work out approximate project costings in advance, please email Prof Andy Jones (andrew.jones@liverpool.ac.uk) to discuss the logistics.

Note that an event focused on increasing industrial collaborations and partnerships with “Genomes to Life” will take place later in the year.
