How you'll learn
Students on our Global Healthcare Management MSc will learn through a dynamic blend of interactive lectures, seminars, guest speakers, a fields trip and group work. Teaching is delivered by expert faculty from the Institute of Population Health, the School of Medicine, the triple-accredited Management School, and the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship—offering a rich, interdisciplinary approach to healthcare management.
A key feature of the programme is a two-week, non-credit bearing industry placement at no additional cost. Students work in teams on a nano-project with a global industry partner—such as healthcare SMEs, NGOs, or start-ups—gaining invaluable real-world experience. While optional, participation is strongly encouraged.
The course combines a solid foundation in core areas with increasing opportunities for problem-solving and practical application. Optional modules allow students to tailor their learning to align with their career goals and prior experience.
Ongoing support is provided through online forums, discussion groups, live Q&As, and access to Canvas, our virtual learning environment.
How you're assessed
Assessments are designed to reflect real-world challenges, preparing students for tasks they’ll face in professional healthcare and management roles. The programme uses a varied mix of coursework, including reports, learning logs, presentations, quizzes, problem analyses, and some traditional written exams—ensuring students develop a broad set of practical and analytical skills.
