Veterinary Professional Studies - External Placement

This module provides students with the opportunity to undertake a work placement (20 days) in an area related to the their specific interests: for example in government departments and agencies, research institutes, wildlife parks and zoos. The student develops their own targets for learning and is responsible for organising the placement (including raising any funds needed and undertaking risk assessments). The placement provides an opportunity both to experience work in the subject area and to gain first-hand experience of how the knowledge and skills fostered by the programme are implemented. Assessment is through a final report and a reflective log/diary of the placement.
