The University is committed to encouraging sustainable travel behaviours by offering a range of award-winning sustainable travel initiatives and facilities, which support a healthy work-life balance and save money.

The Travel and Transport Working Group are ensuring equitable car parking management and sustainable travel initiatives. Have your say on travel and transport and complete the university's staff and student travel survey 2023.

Initiatives to support smart travel

Join the University's cycle to work scheme

Cycle2Work from Halfords is a great employee benefit that offers the most cost-effective way to get new cycling equipment. The scheme is run via salary sacrifice, meaning you won’t pay tax or national insurance saving you at least 32% on a new bike and accessories. The cost is simply deducted out of your payslip over 12, so no need to worry about one-off costs.
