Greg's research is in public international law, with a focus on the law of world trade (both of the World Trade Organization and free trade agreements).

The interaction between trade law and public policy regulation to pursue health objectives, in particular, the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
Trade and the environment
The interaction between climate action policy, sustainable development, fisheries management and trade law (WTO and FTA).
Sociology of international law. In particular in relation to: the practice of trade law, dispute settlement (broadly conceived) in trade, and trade negotiations.
