Centre for Genomic Research

The Centre for Genomic Research (CGR) provides state-of-the-art next generation sequencing technologies and extensive analysis by a team of experts in bioinformatics

The CGR is equipped with all major high-throughput next generation and third generation sequencing and array platforms, coupled with complementary robotics. The facility enables our experts to create optimum, tailor-made solutions across a wide range of biological applications. the facility offers a wide range of applications, with complementary informatics and analytical processing of data.

The facility supports the research of the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Behaviour with expertise in;

  • human and veterinary medicine
  • biotechnology
  • environmental and evolutionary biology
  • agri-tech
  • archaeology, anthropology and zoology

The CGR can trace its academic and service pedigree back to 2000 when the Liverpool Microarray Facility was established. While the facility supports our Department, it is also acts as a service provider to the wider scientific community, enabling the spread of knowledge and creation of collaborations.
