Semester Abroad gives you the opportunity to study at one of our partner universities based all over the world in either semester 1 or semester 2 of your second year of study. You must apply in your first year of study.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and different perspective on your chosen subject area, as well the chance to travel and meet new people.
On a semester abroad, you will study modules related to your subject area, and the marks you achieve at your host university will count towards your degree. All modules are taught in English so you don’t need to worry about language barriers.
**Please note students on a degree programme which includes a language cannot go on a semester abroad. Preparation for the languages year abroad takes place during your second year of study so you must be based in Liverpool.**
