Eurovision Policy Briefing 3

Delivering a Eurovision legacy for Liverpool’s music sector

In our latest Eurovision policy briefing, Dr Mathew Flynn from the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Popular Music discusses how the event can help secure an enduring legacy for Liverpool’s music sector. As a member of the Liverpool City Region Music Board, Mathew has worked with partners across the music industry to identify a series of interventions that could help bolster engagement with Liverpool City Region’s 400 live music spaces. The briefing highlights the need for improved late night public transport, maximise the leverage of Liverpool’s status as a UNESCO City of Music, and encourage investment in local musical talent.
