Public Realm

ULCCO SP carried out various areas of Public Realm improvement works across main campus over a number of phases.

Phase 1 involved undertaking hard and soft landscaping works to 9 areas across North, Central and South Campus, providing much improved paving and soft planting improving both the aesthetics and access to these areas.

BCA Landscape Architects provided the design along with the pallet choice of paving for each area and this has been complimented with subtle and varied planting for each location including a number of trees.

Seating and picnic benches, some with USB charging points were installed along with feature lighting and accessible ramps, steps and handrailing which improves access whilst providing rest areas and breakout space for students and staff.

Working with Sport Liverpool, ULCCO SP provided a number of fitness breakout areas with outdoor gym equipment, along with a dedicated 90mtr running lane and three campus walking/running routes of 1KM, 2.5KM and 5KM with QR code monitoring stations.

With phase 1 works complete, phase 2 will comprise of another 4 areas of wellbeing/sport facility stations being installed with works planned to commence in the New Year.
