Schools of Rock: 10 Iconic Liverpool Live Music Venues

Tuesday, 11am - 1pm

Start Date

16 April, 2024

There will be 5 weekly meetings on Tuesday, 11am - 1pm from 16 April.

Overview

Rock music and the city of Liverpool have been synonymous since the 1950s and the popular birth of the genre; but it goes almost without saying, the Merseybeat explosion of the early 1960s and the meteoric rise of The Beatles to superstardom, is what really put it on the Rock n Roll map. And yet, as any frontman worth their salt will tell you; musicians, are nothing without having reliable places in which to perform and play. This new course offers a tantalizing glimpse into the visual history of 10 Liverpool venues that allowed some of the biggest rock bands the world has ever seen to do just that. So strap in and prepare yourselves, attendees are warned in advance, they’re in for a noisy and riff-shredding ride.
