The University offers a number of weekly, monthly or annual events and activities for families and children at the Victoria Gallery and Museum, Ness Gardens and Sport Liverpool.
Family Saturdays and Holiday Workshops at the Victoria Gallery and Museum
The last Saturday of every month (excluding December) is Family Saturday with a morning family film and lots of exciting activities in the afternoon linked to collections and exhibitions. Most suitable for ages 4-11 but all are welcome. Family workshops take place every Thursday in the school holidays. All workshops are drop-in 1-4pm. Summer Science Club runs every Tuesday during the school summer holidays from 1-3pm.
Holiday Workshops at the Garstang Museum of Archaeology
Family activities are offered every Wednesday 1-4pm during the school holidays and are most suitable for 4-11 year olds but all are welcome. These are a mixture of self-guided and educator-led sessions and are linked to the museum’s amazing archaeological collections and displays. Please note, the museum is only open on event days or by appointment.
Children’s Sport Camps at Sport Liverpool
Sport Liverpool’s Children’s Sports Camps are designed to keep your children active and healthy during the school holidays. Any child aged 5–14 years can attend our camps, where we aim to provide a fun packed time involving lots of different sports and games.
Swim School at Sport Liverpool
Sport Liverpool offers a wide range of lessons catering for all levels and now offers a brand new session called Splish Splash for babies and toddlers up to 3 years.
Family Days at Ness Gardens
Ness Gardens (located on the Wirral) run regular events for all the family. Ness Gardens also has rescued chickens, a play area with climbing frame, indoor games such as giant Connect 4 and dominoes and explorer packs.
