Mentoring and Tutoring
The Widening Participation and Outreach team coordinates subject specific mentoring/tutoring programmes out within schools and in the community for pupils in Years 9-12. Tutoring can be arranged for small groups or for individuals on a one-to-one basis.
Tutoring is tailored to meet the needs of the school or community group.
Past projects include:
- English, Maths and Science tutoring in the Liverpool Arabic Centre
- Year 10 GCSE Science revision in local WP Partner schools
- English, Maths and Science tutoring in Huyton Library with looked after children from Years 10-12, in collaboration with Knowsley Local Authority
- One-to-one tutoring with looked after children in Wirral schools.
