Job Description

As Gender Equality Officer, I work across the institution to progress gender equality activities and to support our involvement in Advance HE’s Athena SWAN charter mark for gender equality in Higher Education.

My main areas of responsibility include: 

  • Developing, managing and delivering the University’s application and accompanying action plan for the Athena SWAN charter mark
  • Supporting academic Schools and Institutes with their Athena SWAN applications and local action plans
  • Instigating and coordinating gender equality related activity around policy changes, training and development, staff networks and events
  • Responding to internal and external requests for information, reports and presentations on gender equality topics.
