Research Staff Developer

Job Description

My role as Researcher Developer (Research Staff) is to design, deliver and facilitate development opportunities, events and resources for research staff and academics.

Specific main development activities I work on include The Academy’s flagship Making an Impact which runs during May and June, National Postdoc Appreciation Week in late September, WriteFest throughout November and the annual summer Celebrating Researchers event.

A major part of my role involves working closely with the Research Staff Association Steering Committee to facilitate RSA events, including the annual Research Staff Conference and the regular RSA Lunch & Learn seminars. In collaboration with others on the Researcher Development & Culture team I also organise the PGR-Postdoc Buddy Scheme and the RSA Buddy Scheme.

Prior to my current role I was a researcher developer for Prosper and have previously worked as a research developer specialising in international and global challenges research projects and as a postdoc and lecturer in animal welfare.
