Job Description

My job role as the Apprenticeship Coordinator is to support the management of the apprenticeship levy, coordinate the apprenticeship programmes and plan future provision, manage the procurement of apprenticeship training activity in order to identify and select apprenticeship provision that is high quality and to be responsible for and first point of contact for apprenticeship enquires.

I provide support to staff in the University to help them to understand the opportunity that apprenticeship funding presents - This allows me to successfully implement and monitor the success of apprenticeship programmes across the Institution and to promote this throughout the University, this allows people to be more aware of the benefits of apprenticeships and the opportunities that are available to them.

Another key part of my role is to promote apprenticeships externally to the University e.g. within local schools and colleges and more widely so we are recognised as an employer of choice.
