About the event

Join us for an exciting in-person event at the University of Liverpool! We are thrilled to invite you to the Central Teaching Hub for Professor Ian Copple's Inaugural Lecture. This event promises to be an enlightening experience as Professor Copple will highlight the mechanisms used by the cells of the body to respond to various types of stress, particularly those caused by exposure to medicines and other chemicals. He will outline how his research group is investigating ways to exploit these stress response mechanisms to improve our ability to detect toxic medicines during their development, and to create new ways to treat disease. Professor Copple will also outline his career journey to date and his future research goals linked to his recently awarded senior fellowship from the Medical Research Council.
