Having joined the University of Liverpool in December 2012, Luning was awarded a prestigious Royal Society University Research Fellowship to establish his independent research group, which focuses on photosynthesis, carbon fixation, and synthetic engineering.

Spotlight: Dr Jill Madine - researching dementia

Jill has a long-standing interest in the role of amyloid proteins in neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. Her recent research has focussed on the potential role of the previously identified cardiovascular amyloid protein medin in dementia.
