Katy owns her own coaching and training business and, as an accredited executive coach,  blends the skills she has honed over two decades in university settings to run the Researcher Coaching programme training and coaching researchers across the world.

Since completing her PhD in Human Geography, Katy has managed a career development programme training academics at 22 UK institutions for Vitae; coached and trained researchers online and face to face across seven continents and developed a specialism supporting researchers to increase their productivity and confidence to achieve their research and career goals.
