Statistical Methods for Developing and Validating Risk Prediction Models

Patients and their care providers often want to know the risk of developing an (adverse) health outcome over time. Estimates of future risk ('prognosis') allow patients and their families to put a clinical diagnosis in context, and inform clinical decisions and treatment strategies. For this purpose there is a growing interest in risk prediction and prognostic models, which are statistical models that estimate an individual's outcome risk. This 3-day course provides a thorough foundation of statistical methods for developing and/or validating prognostic models in clinical research: Course link
