Professor Thomas Schramme of the Department of Philosophy has been invited to give the keynote speech at the Conference for Practical Philosophy at the University of Salzburg. Taking place on the 16th and 17th November, the conference covers the entire spectrum of practical philosophy including applied philosophy, social philosophy, ethics, legal philosophy and political philosophy.

According to Professor Thomas Schramme:

"Salzburg is of course mainly known as Mozart’s hometown. But it will be choka with philosophers next November. This is a major event, organised by young Austrian colleagues, who also run an open-access online journal. I’m honoured to be invited to give a keynote. I’ll focus on my research in moral psychology, more specifically moral capacities in relation to certain psychopathologies."
