Dr Yiota Vassilopoulou selected for Faculty Learning & Teaching and Student Experience Award

Dr Yiota Vassilopoulou from the Department of Philosophy has been selected for a faculty award for work she undertook as SOTA PGR Director. Her project – submitted with PGR deputy Sarah Thomas from Comms & Media – is titled: “From Research to Education: Transforming SOTA PGR Programmes”.

The panel commended the ‘InFocus’ section the application in helping to ensure quality growth of PGR within the school. In particular, the panel were impressed with the links to accessibility, and the promotion of diversity, contributing to themes of belonging and inclusion.

Faculty award winners receive a prize of £500 to be spent on learning, teaching and/or student experience activities and are invited to present for the University Sir Alastair Pilkington Award for teaching excellence at the award winners showcase.
