Ian Dunbar 

Ian Dunbar's doctoral thesis on ‘Fregean Unsaturation’ was examined and passed by Dr Rob Trueman (University of York) and Dr Daniel Hill. The thesis was supervised by Professor Richard Gaskin.  

International News  

Katherine Furman is on the HPS Podcast speaking about philosophy and health policy in the African context. Katherine is currently a visiting researcher at the SOCRATES project in Hanover, Germany 

Rachael Wiseman’s book, Metaphysical Animals, was the subject of a workshop -- La Philosophie Analytique et le «Quartet D’Oxford» -- at UCLouvain, Saint-Louis Bruxelles. Rachael and Clare Mac Cumhaill gave an invited lecture.

Richard Gaskin’s ‘Disjunctivism and the paradox of tragedy’ is forthcoming in The Philosophical Quarterly 

James Fox and Vid Simoniti’s (eds), Art and knowledge after 1900: Interactions between modern art and thought is out with MUP.

There will be a workshop at Anglia Ruskin University in May, Filming Metaphysical Animals: film and the philosophy of Anscombe, Foot, Midgley, & Murdoch. CFA open until 16th February 2024.  

Laura Gow recorded an interview with Henry Taylor (University of Birmingham) discussing her paper, 'Colour' in Philosophy Compass. Dr Taylor is studying the paper with his Masters students.
