Learning technology and systems

All of the applications and digital resources you will need to complete your studies will be made available via the University and Kaplan’s Virtual Learning Environment.

University of Liverpool computing account (MWS)

As a University of Liverpool student, you are entitled to a University of Liverpool Computing Services account. This account, also sometimes called the 'MWS' (Managed Windows Services), is the name given to the Windows-based IT system used at the University.

This service provides you with seamless access to secure network file space and a wide range of software programs including Microsoft Office and your University of Liverpool email account.

All of our online students have already been provided with an MWS account, and your access will continue while you are a registered student until you complete your award.

The University MWS account is the @liverpool.ac.uk account you currently use for logging into the University library from the Laureate Virtual Learning Environment.

Virtual Learning Environment

All programmes and modules offered under our new arrangement will be hosted by Kaplan in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The VLE offers a secure and robust platform to support our global delivery requirements while enabling the innovative capabilities to create truly exceptional learning experiences for our students.

We will be arranging opportunities for you to preview the VLE and familiarise yourself with our new online classrooms.
