Music Museum Curation in Denmark and Norway (April 2024)

If you are studying aspects of curation in music museums, the department would like to advise you of the following destinations.

Copenhagen and Roskilde (Denmark)

Trondheim (Norway)

Eligibility:

  • You must be a registered undergraduate music student. Third years/final year and second year students may apply.  Third years/final year have priority.
  • The trip must last at least 5 days, inclusive of travel days (i.e. you must stay a minimum of four nights). These should be in April in order to most effectively feed into your studies.
  • You should select one destination country. Your application must make clear how visiting the music museums relates to your studies and career interest. Please make specific reference to the museums of your chosen destination. You are also advised to indicate how you will spend your time on days other than at the museums, to take advantage of the location and its culture.

The support you may receive:

  • The support offered towards accommodation and/or travel is in line with Turing guidance which specifies a higher amount of support for those with WP status.
  • If offered support for the trip, you must confirm acceptance right away (contact lee.tsang@liverpool.ac.uk).

Things to note:

Be aware that coordinating with fellow students over hostel accommodation may be a way to help you to keep costs down.

You will be required to complete a short post-trip report within 10 days of your trip.

How to apply:

Please complete the form and select ‘Self-arranged  destination’ which will prompt you to provide relevant information about the trip

Forms must be completed no later than Friday 9th February 2024 in order to have the greatest chance of success.
