Managed Windows Service (MWS)

The Managed Windows Service (MWS) is the name given to the Windows-based IT system used at the University.

‌The MWS is used on computers in the PC Centres across campus and is pre-installed on all new staff PCs.

‌The service provides staff and students with seamless access to secure network file space, University printers and a wide range of software programs including Microsoft Office.

PC Centres currently run on Windows 10 and staff PCs on Windows 7 or Windows 10. A range of guides and video tutorials are available to help you navigate around, and make the most of Windows.
