Summer Abroad

Summer Abroad programmes are short term summer placements, either participating in a summer school or a research project.

The Summer Abroad is a great opportunity to gain an international experience and all the benefits this can bring without being away for a full semester or academic year. It is also a fantastic way to meet new people, many of the programmes include a social programme and cultural visits.

Summer Abroad programmes don’t count towards your degree programme meaning you can benefit from a university-supported international experience without it affecting your studies.

We also have a number of tuition-free places available on our summer programmes.

You can apply for a Summer Abroad programme in any year of study except final-year. Apply during the year you would like to go.

**Please note students on a degree programme which includes a language cannot go on a summer abroad programme.**
