DDSc in Endodontics launched

The DDSc in Endodontics is a new course designed for dentists wishing to pursue careers in specialist endodontics.

This a taught, doctorate level, degree leading to a Doctor of Dental Science and requires students to undertake novel research in the field of endodontology. In addition to research, the course also provides supervised training and support in both simulated and clinical environments which develops the necessary skills and knowledge to provide endodontic treatment at a specialist level.

Participants are primarily focused on developing the necessary skills in endodontic but are also expected to develop general skills in restorative dentistry by undertaking cases in prosthodontics, periodontics and implant dentistry. PG students treat their patients alongside a dedicated dental nurse and use the latest equipments needed in modern endodontic and restorative training e.g. Endodontic microscope, digital radiography and CBCT.
