Student Graduations and Dental Staff Awards

Graduations and Awards Dec-2021

Following several delays due to COVID-19, on Friday 10th December the School of Dentistry classes of 2020 and 2021 celebrated their graduation. The ceremony took place the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre and gave student, staff and family to the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the hard work and success.

During the ceremony several staff from School of Dentistry were also present with their faculty Learning and Teaching awards. These awards showcased the innovation ways in which staff developed new teaching methods and tools in response to the COVID pandemic.

Below is a list of the winning teams and their submission title.

2019/20

  • Technology Enhanced Learning Team: Triangulation and visualization of feedback data to support active learning

2020/21

  • Restorative Team: The use of simulated patient cases as a clinical replacement activity for undergraduate dental students
  • Sarah Mckernon and Elliot Adderton: Creating a remote learning approach for developing key skills - suturing at home
