BES conference in Stratford Upon Avon, attended by Prof Jarad and other members of the endodontic postgraduate team.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students from School of Dentistry recently attend the British Endodontic Society Annual conference held in Stratford Upon Avon celebrate recent success.

Kathryn Mulhearn, a 5th BDS, student, won the Harty Prize. The Harty Prize is an annual essay writing competition. The BES sets the topic and undergraduates from dental schools in the UK enter using a pseudonym. Kathryn’s essay was on the management of endodontic emergencies during the pandemic. Ruvimbo Mukonoweshuro, a 4th BDS Student, was runner up in this competition.

Other awards were present to:

  • Daniel Dadnam (Liverpool Graduate)
  • Shakil Umerji (current postgraduate student): BES Clinical Case Award, Management of External Inflammatory Root Resorption in communication with the Root Canal System

 

Professor Fadi Jarad, Director for Postgraduate Programmes, expressed his proudness for the students;
