Zuzka started as a Research Manager in the Cooper Group in 2021.

She obtained a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2013. Following this, she undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces near Berlin, Germany. Returning to the UK, she led a commercial R&D initiative at the University of Lancaster and later at the University of Chester, a move that steered her career towards academia-industry Knowledge Transfer and Research Management. She then further advanced her organisation and interpersonal skills when managing the Marie Curie European Innovative Training Network AVA in the Physics Department at the University of Liverpool.

Zuzka is experienced in coordinating collaborative, cross-disciplinary research projects, and she takes great pleasure in empowering researchers to realize their full potential.

In her leisure time, her favourite places to be is either outdoors hiking or indoors with a book or on a yoga mat. She is a dedicated practitioner of yoga and mindfulness and has a deep appreciation for modern art, dance, and music.
