Sam joined the Cooper Group as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in 2023. After completing his undergraduate MChem degree at University of York in 2016, Sam joined the University of Leeds and obtained his PhD in 2020. His PhD was conducted in the group of Dr. Nicholas Warren, where he developed autonomous closed-loop continuous flow platforms for the screening and optimisation of radical polymerisations. He then moved to the University of Birmingham where he worked in the group of Prof. Rachel O’Reilly. During his time in Birmingham, his research focussed on altering the design and synthesis of polymeric nanoparticles to enable unique functionality.
